Squash World No1

The seven-year reign

Nicole David

Malaysia's Nicol David has now hogged the World No 1 spot for the past seven years, after the latest Women's Squash Association (WSA) rankings were released.
As the Penangite is still the World No 1 in August, this means that Nicol has been at the top for 85 consecutive
months, a huge feat for the 29-year old who will celebrate her birthday later this month.

The August rankings saw no changes in the top 22 positions in the women's ladder, meaning the national No 2 Low
Wee Wern also retained her place as the World No 6.

Delia Arnold, Siti Munirah Jusoh and Zulhijjah Azan also stayed in 32, 48 and 74th respectively.

In the Professional Squash Association (PSA) rankings, national players Ong Beng Hee and Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan also
retained their spots in 22 and 30th respectively.

Muhd Asyraf Azan fell down one rung from 59th to 60th, while Ivan Yuen Chee Wern climbed up to 63rd from 72.
